About Fabian Rannersberger

For eight years now, I’ve been perfecting the art of building and growing knowledge-based businesses with simple systems. Here you’ll learn: Who I help, What I do, my Philosophy and Story.

Who I help

I help coaches, consultants, course creators, agencies, and experts (basically, anybody who sells knowledge or advice). I only work with founders and people who are experts at their craft with existing businesses making at least $5,000 /month and experts who want to build their own business. These people have all the raw materials necessary for high profits but they lack the structures, systems, teams, tools, and guidance on how to get there.

What I do

I help these founders to turn their business from chaos and low margin to 75%+ profit, 1-2 products, 0-3 staff, happy clients, and fulfilled founders. I do this through my training and 1-on-1 consulting. I aim to maximize profits, clients results and founder happiness while minimizing complexity, costs, headcount, and stress.

My philosophy

I believe in a new kind of online education business which is simple, designed to serve clients, earn high profits, and create real freedom for the founder.

Here’s what I believe:

1. People are powerful

I believe that people are powerful beyond measure and can live the lives of their dreams. The problem is nobody ever taught them how the world works and how money is made outside of employment.

2. Education is leverage

I believe that knowledge is power and the only gap between the rich and the poor is the access to the right information and the mental paradigm to perceive it.

3. The traditional path is broken

I believe that the traditional path of education and employment is fundamentally wrong and that I am here to fix it.

4. Great products change lives

I believe that great products deliver great results and not better marketing.

5. Truth beats traditions

I believe in questioning everything and reason from first principles  and ignoring trends.

6. Less is more

I believe less is more and focus is ultimate powerful. In the modern day it’s more about what you ignore rather than what you pay attention to.

My core values

I believe in a new kind of online education business which is simple, designed to serve clients, earn high profits, and create real freedom for the founder.

1. Results

Client results are the main thing. Nothing matters more than helping clients. Happy clients stay longer, spend more, and tell others about you.

2. Quality

Make things people love. Build products so good people talk about them. Create experiences clients want to share.

3. Simplicity

Less, but better. Cut what doesn’t matter. Simple things scale. Reduce your business to the fundamentals to focus on client results.

4. Integrity

Say what you mean. Do what you say. Trust is built through follow-through and consistency.

5. Longterm thinking

Build for years, not months. Create things that become better with time and create lasting changes.

6. System thinking

See how everything connects. Your business is one connected whole. What happens in one area affects all others. Design the full picture, not just pieces.

7.  Craftsmanship

Don’t settle for good enough. Go deep. Overdeliver. Make things that work, last, and feel right.

8. Fun

If it’s not fun, you are doing it wrong. You won’t be long in the game, if you don’t have fun. We aim for happiness and fulfillment.

My Story

Part 1. Seeking More

It all started back in 2017 when I was an airline pilot, achieved my dream job, but thought there must be more, and I started my own business. I tried affiliate marketing, SEO, selling a book, and training, but all failed because I didn’t know how to create products, how to market, or sell.

Part 2. Building Expertise

I went to a friend who worked with an online marketing agency, which was owned by Europe’s most successful sales trainer. He was leading the consulting team, and he just became the CEO. They offered consulting and a done-for-you service. My friend was great at marketing and sales, and consulting clients, but struggled with teaching others on what he was so good at. I knew how to systemize things from my aviation background, so he hired me to turn his expertise into a fulfillment system to scale the consulting team. He knew that service doesn’t scale, but consulting could. The idea was to help clients build great internal marketing and sales departments.

Part 3. Hitting Limits

I started as an apprentice and learned everything about marketing, sales, and became an online marketing consultant. I helped companies get more clients by showing them how to optimize their website, SEO, AdWords, Facebook ads, email marketing, sales script, crm, and get more great employees through our hiring process. My clients got results, but the problem was that they weren’t able to implement everything on their own. We didn’t provide the support along the way to troubleshoot their issues. Additionally, we struggled to deliver quality work across all clients because consultants weren’t on the same knowledge level, and fulfillment was chaotic and inefficient.

Part 4. Scaling Success

I became the head of strategy, leading the consulting team. I turned my friend’s expertise into a clear system and removed him completely from fulfillment. I created an internal training program for consultants. I hired new consultants and trained them. I implemented a highly efficient fulfillment system that reduced project times from 6 to 2-3 weeks and increased the quality at the same time. We restructured the offer, adjusted pricing, and scaled from 300k to 4.5m per year at 83% profit. I built a partner network with other agencies to help with fulfillment, but they struggled to deliver results. The problem was that they only understood marketing. But our approach was focused on product, system thinking, and understanding business as one connected system across multiple disciplines and departments.

Part 5. Finding Simplicity

Moreover, we focused so much on revenue and not on client results, but I couldn’t change the company culture. I was tired of chasing revenue goals and not focusing on client results, so I quit. I started to simplify all my systems and frameworks to help solopreneurs and small teams, my favorite clients. The idea was simple: Helping people. Making money. Having fun. I aimed to maximize profits, client results, and founder happiness while simultaneously minimizing complexity, costs, headcount, and stress. After 1.5 years of experimentation, I found what I believe is the best model. I call it the simple online education ecosystem. I build and live it, and teach it too. Learn more about it here.
